Wow. Google Maps adds see though isometric (I think) buildings. I’ve got a ‘walking map’ of London that’s a similar design (but not with the master stroke of transparency) - it’s all derivative of some German cartographer who pioneered this type of things with incredible hand drawn renderings of building in cities (I can’t remember his name :-(
