My daughter’s 11, this really hit home - she’s lapping up the onslaught of ideal femininity from ads and ‘media’, and buying the make-up and accoutrements accordingly.

At first, I’m pissed off at the chutzpah of Dove (a cosmetics company, for god’s sake), but then, if they’re genuinely taking a stance, Fine.

Overall - smart marketing, I’m a big fan of their Real Beauty campaign in the UK.

Unilever have an interesting (and decent) challenge on their hands - I don’t think any of their current brands display any of the traits that ‘sister’ brand Dove lambasts…better keep it that way!
