Orange Box - games bundle
Occasionally I buy ‘Edge’; the cerebral gaming magazine, and did so last night to accompany a train journey. Anyhow, that Portal game I mentioned is being sold as part of a £50 bundle (with Half Life 2 and another couple of games), called ‘Orange Box. The cool thing is, each of these games is worth buying in their own right - I hardly ever buy PC games, but I’m definitely going to get this…but not until Christmas, when I can take some time off.
It might seem economic suicide to bundle these games together and price it so reasonably, but it’s convinced me to fork over cash, where I wouldn’t have otherwise, so i think they’ll sell a lot more of their games than otherwise.
UPDATE - make that $50 - I just bought this in Amazon for £26 - what a bargain (I’ll have to leave it at some other location, so I don’t spend the weekend playing it instead of concentrating on work!)
