Ahh, the best is always in Manchester. John Rylands library, DeasnGate. Ok, its design is modelled after a Church, but it was always a library - the grandest I’ve ever been in. Reverence to knowledge and ideas rather than a deity makes this a much more attractive ‘place of worship’.
